Kate Goodwin is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism and cut her teeth in the industry by pitching men’s boxer briefs to hundreds of editors. With nine years in the field, she’s a PR pro who’s launched 50+ stores for a national retailer, garnered millions of media impressions, and tried her hand at lugeing, lumberjacking, and “Lambeau Leaping” all in the name of content creation. She grew up moving around the country, which honed her adaptability to strike up a conversation with anyone. Now, Kate enjoys a quiet life in the rural Midwest, where she juggles a thriving vegetable garden but dying flower beds, feral but joyful kids, a grouchy but sweet guard dog, and a bourbon collection she’s more than willing to share.

When she's not wrangling plants or small humans, Kate runs the Bookstagram account @katewroteabook, where she shares writing updates, recommends reads, and brings a healthy dose of humor to the chaos of author life. She’s currently revising her debut novel, PARAGON—a historical fantasy set in Gilded Age Minnesota—and is seeking literary representation.
